Dear NewsCrypto community,

as you probably already know, we recently made NWC a cross-chain token, creating a version of it on Ethereum and the Binance Smart Chain, apart from its native blockchain Stellar.

The Ethereum version of NWC is already listed on Uniswap, and you can trade it here, while other DEX listings on both Ethereum and BSC are soon to follow, so be sure to stay tuned!

Today, however, we’re proud to announce that the final piece of the cross-chain puzzle is now falling into place. We’re going to enable a cross-chain swap right on our website, so that users will be able to swap between the Stellar, Ethereum and BSC versions of NWC with just a few clicks.

However, in order to ensure that the cross-chain swap will function properly, we have first rolled out a test phase, during which the swap will only be available to users that:

• limit of 10,000 NWC per day for each user.

This test phase, which enables the users to swap between Stellar and Ethereum NWC tokens, has been rolled out today, while the full implementation, available to all token holders on all three chains, will be live very soon.

How to swap NWC tokens between XLM, ETH and BSC chains

▶️ Here is a step by step guide on how to swap NWC

* Note that, in order to move the Ethereum NWC tokens from your Ethereum wallet (e.g. to provide liquidity on Uniswap), you need to also have some Ether in your wallet, as all transactions on the Ethereum blockchain require a gas fee paid in ETH.

Also make sure that the Ethereum wallet you're using supports custom tokens (for more on how to add NWC to your wallet, click here).

In order to swap NWC, users first need to whitelist their Ethereum address on the platform. This can be done in the Profile section: a Swap Whitelist input field can be found in the bottom left part of the profile, just below the progress bars. Simply copy and paste your Ethereum wallet address into this field, click Save, and you’re ready to go.

You can then swap from any external Solar wallet on our website, as long as the destination address is whitelisted, and vice versa (i.e. you can swap to any Stellar address from the whitelisted Ethereum address). Note that the transaction fee will be automatically deducted from the NWC tokens that you swap, and it depends on the gas price on Ethereum at the time of the transaction.

While we do aim to bring the full version of the atomic swap to all token holders as soon as possible, we have decided to precede it with a test phase in order to make sure that everything works as it should. We have already done extensive testing of the swap smart contract on testnets, so we’re confident that there aren’t any issues with the code, but safe is always better than sorry, and that is why we want to test the swap with real NWC tokens held by real users, before deploying it in its full capacity.

We’re sure you’ll find the swap interface intuitive, as there are instructions published both on the swap page itself and on our blog as well, in case you want a more detailed guide. All the best, NWC Team
